At Dorothy Barley Infant School, we want all our pupils to grow and develop into well rounded individuals who are well prepared for their next steps. To support this growth and development we offer our pupils the opportunity to become Pupil Leaders.
We believe that is important for children to contribute to our school community and a develop a sense of responsibility. Our Pupil Leadership Teams work closely with staff to improve aspects of school life, support their peers and promote important issues and initiatives.
Our Pupil Leadership Teams
Team Protect
Lead Teacher: Mrs Ratford
Team Protect work closely with Mrs Ratford to ensure our pupils are safe and happy at school. They help others during playtime and lunchtime, encourage when things are difficult and make sure that all pupils know to talk to if they worried about something.
Librarians
Lead Teacher: Mrs Thomas
Reading is at the heart of all we do at Dorothy Barley Infant School. Our librarians work alongside Mrs Thomas to promote reading across the school, keep our Library tidy, orderly and ready for use and help to recommend books to others.
House Captains
Lead Teacher: Mrs Ratford
Our House Captains were successful in their application for the role through a democratic vote. Our House Captains collect House Points, present in assemblies and help to lead House Challenges.
