Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another busy week in school! Don’t forget to check the blog posts at the bottom of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class.
Remembrance
We began the week by marking Remembrance Day. All the children have been learning about Remembrance in their classes and honoring the sacrifices made by soldiers past and present. During a special assembly on Monday, they learned about why we wear poppies and the work of the British Legion, before marking a minute of silence at 11am.
As a community, we are proud to have raised £206 for the British Legion.
Children in Need
Today, we have been celebrating Children in Need. The children all looked wonderful in their ‘Spotacular’ outfits! As part of this afternoon’s House Challenge, children worked with children from different classes and year groups to think about the importance of helping others, as well as being kind and caring. All children then contributed towards a whole school display celebrating charity and helping others.
Time to Talk – School Nurse
Thank you to everyone who attended the ‘Time to Talk’ session led by the Speech and Language team this Wednesday. We hope that you found it useful.
On Tuesday 19th November at 8.55am, our next ‘Time to Talk’ session will be led by our School Nurse. This is a great opportunity to discuss any concerns you have about your child, as well as general areas such as feeding, sleeping and general health. We look forward to seeing you there!

Squirrel Trip – Transport Museum
Squirrel class thoroughly enjoyed their educational visit to the London Transport Museum on Monday. As always, they were a credit to the school and their families and showed exemplary behaviour.
Thank you to all parents who were able to support us by volunteering their time for this trip.
Reminders
When you arrive to collect your child at the end of the school day, please stand back from the corridor windows. Some children find the arrival of parents very distracting!
Musician of the Week
Every week, we learn about a different musician in school, from different time periods, cultures and styles of music. This week the children have enjoyed listening to the soul music of Ben E King.
Have a lovely weekend!
