Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a busy week in school! Don’t forget to check the blogs at the end of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class.
WISE Team
We are pleased to share that we are going to be working with the WISE (Wellbeing in Schools and Education) Team. The WISE team is made up of various professionals and supports the emotional wellbeing needs of children, young people and families within education settings. This will include workshops and assemblies for children to help develop their understanding of emotional wellbeing, as well as information sessions for parents.
The WISE team would like to find out which wellbeing related topics you would find the most useful. They can offer sessions on a range of topics including resilience, anxiety, ADHD, autism, sleep and behaviour. Hedgehog Educational Visit – London Transport Museum

On Monday, Hedgehog class had their turn to visit London Transport Museum. They had a fantastic time learning all about transport in the past, including an exciting ‘Platform Promenade’ workshop led by Museum staff. They will be putting all of this learning into practice over the next few weeks in their History and Design and Technology lessons.
Well done to the children for behaving so well and thank you to the parents and carers who were able to join us!
Kingfisher Educational Visit – Tower of London
On Wednesday, Kingfisher class went on their first trip of Year 2 to the Tower of London. To support their learning in History, they took part in a workshop all about the Great Fire of London. They also took the chance to spot different landmarks in London, including the River Thames. They have been learning all about London in school and reading the book ‘Katie in London’, so they were very excited to see their learning come to life!
Thank you to the parents and carers who volunteered to support the children on this trip. We appreciate your continued support.
Children in Need

We had great fun in school last week celebrating Children in Need. We have been busy counting up all of your very generous donations and are pleased to share that we have raised £244.87 for charity!
End of Term
Towards the end of term, we have many exciting events taking place including Christmas Jumper Day, Nativity Plays and Christmas Concerts. The children have already begun practising and getting ready for their performances. We can’t wait to share them with you!
Look out for letters coming home soon with further information about dates and times for all Christmas events.
Have a lovely weekend!
