This week in Maths we have been learning about shapes and their properties. We have had a lot of fun going on a shape hunt and finding lots of different shapes in our environment....

Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a busy week in school! Don’t forget to check the blogs at the end of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class.
Nativity Plays
All year groups are currently rehearsing for their Christmas concerts and nativity plays. All the parts have been cast and the children are busy learning their lines and lyrics. They can’t wait to share their performances with you!
Letters have gone home this week with further information and tickets are available to purchase on ParentPay. If you are having any difficulty logging into ParentPay, please come to the school office and we can help you.
Performances are on the following dates:
Nursery – Thursday 18th December
Reception – Wednesday 17th December
Year 1 – Monday 15th December
Year 2 – Tuesday 16th December
We hope to see as many of you there as possible!
Winter Pictures
To celebrate the end of term, we are selling individual photographs of the children. Photos were taken in school this week and they all enjoyed posing!
Photographs are available on ParentPay and cost £3 per photo.
WISE Team
We are pleased to share that we are going to be working with the WISE (Wellbeing in Schools and Education) Team. The WISE team is made up of various professionals and supports the emotional wellbeing needs of children, young people and families within education settings. This will include workshops and assemblies for children to help develop their understanding of emotional wellbeing, as well as information sessions for parents.
The WISE team would like to find out which wellbeing related topics you would find the most useful. They can offer sessions on a range of topics including resilience, anxiety, ADHD, autism, sleep and behaviour. Woodpecker Educational Visit – Tower of London
On Tuesday, Woodpecker class visited the Tower of London! They took part in a workshop all about the Great Fire of London, which they are learning about in their History lessons at school. The children were very excited to spot some of the landmarks from the book they are reading in class, ‘Katie in London’. As always, their behaviour on the trip was exemplary and all children represented the school well.

End of Term Reminders
The last day of term for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 is Friday 19th December. School finishes at 1:15pm.
The last day of term for the Nursery is Thursday 18th December.
