Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another busy week at school! Don’t forget to check the blogs at the end of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class.
School Photos
On Wednesday 4th February, we have a photographer coming into school to take individual photos of the children. Please ensure that all children are smartly dressed in correct school uniform and looking their best!
If you have more than one child, you will have the opportunity to have sibling photos (including junior children) taken before school between 8:00am and 8:45am. Please arrive at the main playground at this time and a member of staff will direct you to the main hall. All children must be supervised by parents and carers until you see them into school through the correct doors at the normal time of 8:50am.
Proof copies of all photos will be sent home as soon as they arrive back in school, along with information about prices and how to order the photographs.
Careers Week
Next week, we will be celebrating our very own Careers Week in school. One of our school values is Challenge and we want all of our children to challenge themselves in their future lives and careers.
Throughout the week, the children will learn all about different jobs and careers they may be interested in pursuing when they grow up. We will also be welcoming visitors into school to talk about their jobs and share their experiences with the children. If you would be able to visit school and share information about your job, please do let your child’s class teacher know.
The week will finish with a special House Challenge called University Challenge, where the children will be able to sign up for a range of exciting workshops to learn something new. In the past, these have included architecture, foreign languages and martial arts. It’s a great opportunity for the children to broaden their skills and knowledge!
Time to Talk – Autism
Please join us for Time to Talk on Thursday 5th February at 9:00, with a special focus on Autism awareness. This session will explore how autism can present in children and offer practical, supportive strategies to help you better understand and support your child at home and in school. There will be time for discussion, questions, and sharing experiences in a welcoming and inclusive environment. We look forward to seeing you there.
All families are welcome to attend, not just those with a child diagnosed with autism.
Multi-Sports Club
Every Thursday after school, our PE coach runs a multi-sports club for children in Year 1 and Year 2. The children get the chance to experience a wide range of sports as well as improve their general fitness and team skills. The club runs from 3:15pm – 4:15pm.
There are still a few places left in the club. Please contact the office for further information and to register your child.
Reminders
The school doors are open from 8:50-9:00am for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The most intensive lessons start first thing in the morning so it is vital that your child is at school on time every day.
Have a lovely weekend!
