Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another busy week in school. Children in Woodpecker class thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the National Portrait Gallery and the Nursery children have had a special delivery of ducklings! Don’t forget to check the blogs at the end of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class!
Red Nose Day

The children enjoyed dressing up in their red clothes and Red Nose Day merchandise today! By dressing up, the children have raised money for an important cause and are helping others. Compassion is one of our school values and we want our children to show care and compassion to themselves and each other in all that they do.
Thank you for your very generous donations.
Nursery 2026-2027
Although we are still in the Spring term, we have begun looking ahead to the next academic year. Applications are now open for our school Nursery and children born between 1st September 2022 and 31st August 2023 will be able to join us from September 2026. We offer both part time and 30 hour funded places.
Attending the school nursery gets children off to the best possible start to their educational journey. They have the opportunity to make friends, play in an engaging learning environment and learn everything they will need to be ready for school. Children who attend our nursery get to know the school and the staff and are well equipped to feel confident about starting Reception the following year.
Please ask for an application form in the office.
Time to Talk – WISE Team
We are continuing to work with the NHS Wellbeing in Education (WISE) team to support children and families. The team have delivered a number of Time to Talk sessions for families already, including a session on supporting children with autism, and are currently working with our Year 2 children to best prepare them for their transition to junior school.
The team will be running a Time to Talk session on Thursday 26th March about anxiety. In the session, they will share strategies to manage and support children who may be experiencing worry, no matter how big or small. Everyone is welcome to attend.
We hope to see as many of you there as possible!
Choir – Music Festival
Our Key Stage One choir are very much looking forward to attending the Music Festival at our partner school, Parsloes Primary School, next week!
The choir has been working hard with Marie to learn two songs and are now very confident to perform them. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to experience performing in front of an audience and sharing their talent. If your child is attending the Music Festival and you would be able to support us as a volunteer on the trip, please let us know in the office.
