19 Sep Reception Understanding the World – Autumn
This week, Reception have been having lots of fun exploring the wonderful seasonal changes in our garden. The children noticed the leaves changing colour and were very excited to spot conkers and pine cones outside. They enjoyed collecting these Autumnal treasures and bringing them back to add to our investigation table. Using magnifying glasses, the children examined the different textures and details up close. As part of our learning, the children also created their own beautiful Autumn trees using finger painting. They loved experimenting with colours and patterns.
It has been a fantastic week of discovery, creativity and hands-on learning. Well done Reception!
