27 Feb Reception – Minibeast Hunt
This week, Reception have had a fantastic time exploring their curiosities and discovering the wonderful world around them. As the entry point to our new topic, ‘A Bug’s Life’, the children set off on an exciting mini beast hunt around the school playground and Reception garden.
Using magnifying glasses and plenty of enthusiasm, the children carefully searched for the tiny creatures on their scavenger lists. They looked closely at leaves, peered into the grass and gently investigated different corners of the outdoor area. There was great excitement as they began to spot a variety of mini beasts, including spiders, ladybirds, flies, worms, slugs and snails.
Each new discovery brought smiles and the children thoroughly enjoyed ticking off the creatures they found. It was a wonderful way to spark their curiosity, encourage careful observation, and introduce them to the fascinating topic we will be exploring this term.
Well done Reception!
