06 Feb Year 2 – Careers Week
As part of Careers Week, we were thrilled to welcome a very special visitor into school. One of our pupils’ nan, who works as a Sergeant Major in the Army.
The children were fascinated as they learned all about her important role. She spoke to Year 2 about what it means to be in the Army, what a typical day looks like and the skills needed to do her job well. The children were especially excited to see her uniform and hear about the different places she has traveled during her career.
Our Year 2 children asked some brilliant questions and listened carefully as they discovered how both men and women can work in the Army and how school learning helps prepare them for future careers. The visit sparked curiosity and thoughtful discussion.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our visitor for taking the time to come into school and inspire the children. It was a memorable and engaging experience that really bough Careers Week to life!
