This week in Maths, Year 1 have been comparing numbers and using the symbols ‘greater than’, ‘less than’ and ‘equal to’. We discovered that there can be more than one correct answer and found out why the symbols are the shape they are by using lolly sticks to form them.
In Science, we have been on a materials hunt to find things made from the materials we have been investigating. We thought about the reasons why those materials were suitable for their purpose.
