23 May Reception Understanding the World – Eastbury Manor House
Reception have really enjoyed the Towers, Tunnels and Turrets topic this half term which links to our Understanding the World area of learning. As part of our exit point to the topic, we went on an exciting trip to Eastbury Manor House.
The children were on their best behavior and walked very nicely during our journey. All the children participated in a Turrets and Tiaras workshop where they were able to create their own tiaras and shields. They looked fabulous!
The children also learnt more about knights and an opportunity to look at or try on costumes. The children also looked at artifacts from the past and discussed how things were different then and now. They extend their learning about castles and got to walk up and down a spiraling staircase. We had a fabulous finish to our topic and a lovely day out!
