Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another busy week in school! Don’t forget to check the blogs at the end of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class!
Reception Harvest Concert

We were all very proud of our Reception children this morning as they performed in their first concert! They sang a range of songs linked to Harvest and autumn and many of the children also had lines to speak in front of the audience. They were all confident and sang beautifully!
Thank you to all Reception parents for your continued support.
Parents Evenings – 21st and 22nd October
We are looking forward to our Parents Evening appointments next week. This first Parents Evening is an ideal opportunity to find out how your child has settled into their new class. Teachers will also share your child’s strengths and the areas they are working with them on in class. We really value this chance to work collaboratively with you in the best interests of your child.
If you have not yet booked an appointment, please contact the school office.
Poppies

Over the past few weeks, we have been busy making poppies for Barking Town Hall. As part of a project introduced by the Mayor and alongside other community groups and settings, we have created poppies to be displayed at the Town Hall for Remembrance Day. All children in every year group were involved with making the poppies and we sent them off earlier this week.
Our poppies will be displayed at the Town Hall from 11th November to 18th November if you would like to visit with your child.
Harvest Festival – Thank You!
Thank you for your very generous donations as part of our celebration of Harvest. All donations have been passed on to the food bank to support our local community.
End of Term
Next week is our final week before the half term break. Friday 23rd October is an INSET day and the school is closed to all pupils.
The Nursery is also closed on Thursday 22nd October for parent consultation meetings.
All children return to school on Monday 2nd November at the usual time.
School Site
To protect the privacy and safeguarding of all children, parents and visitors must not make video calls, take photographs or make video recordings whilst on the school site unless expressly authorised by the school. If you are on a video call when arriving at school, please end the video call before entering the school premises. Thank you for helping us to keep all members of our school community safe and to respect their privacy.
Children and adults are also not permitted to ride bicycles and scooters in the school playground. It is very busy in the playground at the end of the day and this rule is for everyone’s safety.
Have a lovely weekend!
