16 Oct Reception – Autumn Adventures & Harvest Concert
This week, Reception have continued to explore autumn, both inside and outside the classroom! We created patterns using autumnal objects and measured their lengths in our Maths areas. In our art areas, we painted beautiful autumn leaf silhouettes and also made our very own autumn crowns in preparation for our concert. We thoroughly enjoyed making butternut squash and pumpkin soup outside in the garden!
It has been a busy week of performances too! On Wednesday, the children performed a special song during our Harvest Assembly. On Thursday, we performed our autumn concert dress rehearsal to the Nursery children, followed by two special performances for our parents on Friday. The children all worked incredibly hard to learn their lines, songs and actions, showing fantastic enthusiasm and confidence throughout.
