Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had another busy week in school! Don’t forget to check the blog posts below for updates from each year group.
House Challenge – Mini Olympics
The children all had great fun today participating in the Mini Olympics as part of our first House Challenge of this academic year. All children completed a series of physical and sporting challenges in their houses to fundraise for the Junior Duke Award.
All completed sponsor forms and money should be sent into school. Thank you for the many generous donations we have already received!
If you were unable to attend our ‘Time to Talk’ session about the Junior Duke Award, further information and the presentation can be found on the Junior Duke section of our website: Junior Duke
Reception – Harvest Festival Concert
Our Reception children have been very busy learning songs ahead of their Harvest Festival concert on Thursday 24th October at 9.20am. They are really looking forward to this first opportunity to perform for their families.
All Reception parents and carers are welcome to attend, with a limit of 2 tickets per family. Please pay £1 online via ParentPay before the event to secure a ticket. Entrance will be via the door in the KS1 playground.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Nursery – Look at My Learning
We would like to invite parents and carers of children in Nursery to join their child in class on Thursday 24th October at 11.15am. This is a great opportunity to visit the Nursery and see what your child has been learning during their first half term with us.
Please arrive via the Nursery gate at 11.15am.
Health and Safety
To keep all of our children safe as they enter and exit the school, no one is permitted to ride a bike or scooter on school premises. The gate on Davington Road gets very busy at the end of the day and the safety of the children is of the highest priority.
Family Hub Survey
Barking and Dagenham are looking for opinions from families regarding their new Family Hubs service. This is a service designed to support families, children and young people. Whether you are familiar with the service or not, your thoughts are welcome. Please follow the link to complete the survey: Family Hub Survey
Musician of the Week
Every week, we learn about a different musician in school, from different time periods, cultures and styles of music. This week the children have enjoyed listening to the music of Sister Sledge.
Have a lovely weekend!
