Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for your continued support as we reach the end of a busy half term. We hope you all have a wonderful half term break and look forward to seeing the children again on Monday 4th November.
Reception Harvest Concert
Our Reception children were very proud to take part in their first performance to families this morning. They sang a range of Harvest and Autumn songs beautifully and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Thank you to Mrs Branch, Mrs Ling, Mrs Din and the Reception team for organising this and working hard to prepare the children.
Time to Talk – Speech and Language
We will be continuing our ‘Time to Talk’ sessions after the half term holiday. These are an informal opportunity to come into school, learn about a range of topics and connect with other parents. Refreshments are always provided!
Our next session is on Wednesday 13th November at 8.55am and will be led by a Speech and Language therapist. There will be some top tips about supporting your child’s speech and language development, as well as plenty of opportunities to chat and ask questions. Whether you are concerned about your child’s speech and language or just want to find out more, everyone is welcome.
Junior Duke Fundraising
Thank you to everyone who has returned their sponsorship forms and money from our Mini Olympics House Challenge. We have received lots of generous donations and are hoping to raise enough money to enable all children to participate in the Junior Duke award. We very much appreciate the support of all our families to help us offer this award to develop the independence, resilience and life skills of our children.
It’s not too late to send in any money raised – all donations will be gratefully received by the school office!
Reminders
School is closed to children tomorrow as it is an INSET day. Children return to school after the half term holiday on Monday 4th November.
Year 1 are going on their first educational visit of the year to the London Transport Museum. Rabbit class are visiting on Monday 4th November and Squirrel class on Monday 11th November. If you have not returned your consent form or need support with Parent Pay, please contact the school office.
Musician of the Week
Every week, we learn about a different musician in school, from different time periods, cultures and styles of music. This week the children have enjoyed listening to the music of The Beatles.
