Dear Parents and Carers,
We have come to the end of another busy week at school. Don’t forget to check the blog posts at the bottom of the newsletter to see what your child has been learning in class!
House Challenge – Earth Day

This afternoon, we all took part in our fourth House Challenge of the year based on Earth Day. The children have been learning about the Earth and why it is so important to care for it. In their Houses, the children learned about the importance of reducing pollution, picking up litter and how plastics can damage the environment. They designed posters to raise awareness of these important issues.
All children also participated in a planting workshop with our site manager, learning how to take care of our school environment.
Rocksteady Concert

Our Rocksteady bands have been practising hard all term and are looking forward to performing to the rest of the school next week! Parents and carers of children receiving music tuition with Rocksteady are invited into school at 9:30am next Wednesday to join us for their concert.
We can’t wait for the performance!
End of Term Reminders
Next week is the last week of the Spring term. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 finish school at 1.15pm on Friday 4th April. Parents Evening
Our Spring Term Parents Evenings are on Wednesday 2nd April (3:30-7:00pm) and Thursday 3rd April (3:30-5:00pm). During the meetings, teachers will be sharing information about your child’s progress and how you can support them with their learning at home.
Parents Evening bookings have now closed on Parent Mail. Please see your child’s class teacher if you still need to make an appointment.
Attendance
Regular, punctual attendance at school is crucial to your child’s attainment and progress. The most intensive lessons often begin first thing in the morning so it is especially important that your child comes to school on time every day.
On Thursday next week, we will be celebrating all of the children in school who have met our school target of 96% attendance with a special film afternoon. We are delighted to share that over 100 children have met this target! Look out for invitations early next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
