27 Jun Nursery- Maths in the Garden!
This week, we have been out in the garden exploring lots of maths activities! We have been using the balancing scales to weigh different objects. We predicted which object would be heavier or lighter and then tested our predictions by weighing them using the scales. We learnt that when the scales go down it is heavier and when it goes up it is lighter. We are also using the correct vocabulary to explain in full sentences what we have learned.
We also had lots of fun in our mud kitchen, choosing different numbers and counting out the correct amount of sticks, stones, corks or wooden disks. We have enjoyed carefully writing numbers on our whiteboard and also playing dominoes together!
