29 Nov Nursery – Understanding the World – Exploring ice!
This week we have enjoyed exploring the frost and ice that formed in the garden due to the freezing cold weather! The children made lots of comments about the things they observed and were particularly interested to find out how the ice had ‘disappeared’ later in the day. We did an experiment to see what would happen if we left tubs of water in the garden over night. When we came into Nursery in the morning, they had turned into blocks of ice! We took them inside and explored different ways of melting them.
