31 Jan Reception – Maths & Music
We have had a really exciting week in Reception! In Maths, we have been learning about capacity and how it means that it is the amount that something can hold.
We got a surprise letter from a Wizard! The letter said that he was unwell and needed a potion to make him better. We worked as a group to make a potion. We chose all of our ingredients and then carefully counted the scoops as we filled the container. We now know that it is full when it is filled to the top with no gaps.
Then for Music this week, we had a visit from the Rock Steady Music Company. They gave us a special assembly followed by a work shop, where learnt about all different instruments. We got to sing some songs and play the instruments ourselves!
