13 Jan Reception – ‘Ready, Steady, Go!’
Reception have had a busy and exciting first week back! They were introduced to their new topic – ‘Ready, Steady, Go!’ The children particularly enjoyed exploring our new role play area which is a train station. They had fun pretending to be on the train and looking at maps and tickets. They have enjoyed finding new books and toys to transport around the classroom.
We started reading our new story ‘Mr Grumpy’s Outing’ and the children had the opportunity to act it out using masks and puppets. They have been very interested in learning new vocabulary and finding out the meanings of new words.
In Maths, the children have been learning to add two amounts together to find a total. They have been writing number sentences.
