28 Feb Reception – Wiggle & Crawl Workshop
Reception have had an exciting week back at school. They entered their classrooms on Monday to find a new role-play area which is a Veterinary Clinic. They have thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and role-playing as a Vet or a customer bringing their pet to the clinic! We have been so impressed with the way they have taken care of the animals.
The children also found lots of jungle animals to prepare them for our new story ‘Monkey Puzzle’ which they really enjoyed reading on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Reception took part in a ZooLab ‘Wiggle and Crawl’ workshop which was very fun and exercise based. The children observed some animals and even got the chance to stroke or hold them! They had a go at imitating the actions of the animals after watching how they moved. Some of the animals they were a Gerbil, Snake, Giant Millipede, Frig and Leopard Gecko. This was our entry point to this term’s topic ‘A Bug’s Life’.
