07 Mar Year 2 – National Portrait Gallery
Year Two have been on a very exciting trip this week to the National Portrait Gallery. We saw lots of portraits and self-portraits. In Art, we are learning different techniques to help us draw our own self-portraits.
some of the portraits we saw were of different monarchs and we are learning about monarchs in History. We also saw lots of different photographs, some of them taken with the very first cameras.
In ICT, we are using the iPad to take photographs.
After we left the Portrait Gallery, we visited Trafalgar Square and saw the fountains and the lion statues from our book Katie Goes to London.
We all had such a great day!
