24 Jan Reception Maths – Investigating Mass
This week in Maths, the children in Reception have enjoyed working in small groups to investigate the mass of different objects. They worked as a team and used the balance scales to find out how many cubes would balance an object to find it’s mass.
They then recorded their findings. From their recordings they were able to say which object had the greatest or least mass.
They were then able to compare objects saying which one was lighter or heavier.
