12 Jun Nursery – Talk4Writing & Maths
When we came into nursery this week we were astonished to find giant footprints on the floor leading into our role-play area. We also found a cauldron with bones and a cookbook with goat recipes inside. On the table was a huge plate, cup and spoon. Who could it all belong to?
We drew pictures of who we thought it was. We checked the nursery camera the next day and couldn’t believe it was a Troll who had come into nursery! He had very kindly left our new focus book ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and we have been enjoying reading it together.
Also this week, in Maths, we have been learning about weighing. We have used the balancing scales to find out which objects were heaviest and lightest. We knew that when something is heavy the scales go down and when it is light they go up.
We even pretended to be balancing scales ourselves!
