02 Oct Reception – Outdoor Maths
This week in Reception, we have taken our Maths learning out into the garden! We have been developing our understanding of numbers by counting and ordering the big Numicon pieces and adding them together to find the total. We have also been ordering numbers using number tiles. When we noticed that we had made a mistake, we worked together to solve the problem and carefully placed the number in the correct position. We have also been practising our subitising skills using the big dice, recognising quantities without needing to count each dot.
