02 May Reception Understanding the World – Towers, Tunnels and Turrets
As part of our Towers, Tunnels and Turrets unit we have been looking at and describing castles. We have been thinking about how they were designed, whatt they were made of and who lived in them. We have looked at the features of a castle such as; turrets, battlements, arrow slits, a moat, drawbridge and portcullis. We have also been finding out about knights and why there were important.
We had great fun making shields and building castles!
