15 May Nursery – Talk4Writing – The Little Red Hen
This week we have been acting out the story map for our focus book ‘The Little Red Hen’. The children can use language from the story and Makaton signs throughout.
We have painted characters from the story ‘The Little Red Hen’ and also made our own story books to retell the story.Some children could also write the characters names – pig, cat and rat by listening very closely to the sounds they could hear.
The children loved making bread this week, just like in our story. We looked closely at the recipe and discussed ingredients. We worked as a team to mix it together and we are very good at kneading dough. Our favourite part was eating our bread!
